Halitosis Treatment in
Denver, Colorado

Halitosis is the medical term used to describe bad breath, gum disease, cavities or other infections in the mouth.

Everyone can experience bad breath from time-to-time, especially if you enjoy certain foods and beverages. However, if you struggle with persistent and severe bad breath not caused by food, it could be a sign of disease.

Persistent and severe bad breath can hinder your self-confidence, especially in social situations.

The American Dental Association recognizes halitosis as a common dental issue and recommends the following to avoid bad breath:

  • Brushing and flossing habitually, especially after meals
  • Use professional or over-the-counter grade mouthwash
  • Clean your dentures often
  • Keep saliva flowing in your mouth with sugar-free gum
  • Quit smoking
  • Visit your dentist every six months (or more, based on your individual treatment plan)

Everyone at this office is great. The hygienist, Kayla, really takes her time and listens. The doc and assistants are the same. You don't expect a great experience at the dentist, but I felt really comfortable here.

Always great and professional. Connie really goes out of her way to check in on patients before and after their visits. All the hygienists are great! Dr. Arens just took over the practice but seems like a very professional and thorough dentist.

I've been going to Retro since before it was Retro, and I've always had very good experiences! Connie is so great and personable, and all the hygienists are super friendly. I always feel well taken-care-of by the doctors and the entire staff.
